Church of the Savior Chamber Choir

The Church of the Savior (COTS) Chamber Choir is a community
vocal ensemble that has been active for 11 years. In addition to excellence in
performing master works of sacred choral music, the core missions of the choir are to
premiere compositions by local composers and to use each performance as a platform
to highlight, support and benefit charitable causes and organizations. COTS Chamber
Choir is currently planning concerts for the fall of 2025 and the spring of 2026.

Join us for an evening with the Church of the Savior Chamber Choir as we proudly present “A Place to Call Home.” This choral concert, benefiting Justice Together, promises to deliver a powerful musical experience. All are welcome.

Saturday, October 18, 7:30pm at Plymouth Congregational Church

Justice Together is a multi-faith, grassroots coalition of faith communities in Sedgwick County, Kansas. They harness the power of organized people to address big community problems.

The theme of the concert is “A Place to Call Home,” which intentionally echoes and amplifies the important work of Justice Together in affordable housing and homelessness. We believe everyone in Sedgwick County should have access to affordable housing. Concert admission is free. An offering will be taken with proceeds to benefit Justice Together. The concert will include a premier of “A Wideness: for Choir and Cello” by local composer Miriam Overholt, and works by Morten Lauridsen, Stephen Paulus and Kim AndrĂ© Arnesen.
Award-winning local singer song-writer Emily Judson will also perform an original piece.
KMUW is Media Sponsor for the event.
